Amadeus Consulting Officially Launches BLAST! Program

Boulder, CO, March 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Amadeus Consulting, a custom software development company, is excited to announce the official launch of its BLAST! program. The BLAST! program, or Business Leaders in Action for Sustainability Today!, is a training program for businesses to take real action and designate their companies as stewards of the environment. Training includes the how-to's on trash diversion, composting, and building augmentation. It also includes continual incorporation of new techniques on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

BLAST! was developed because of Amadeus Consulting’s passion and desire to make a positive impact on the environment. The company wanted to develop a community program that would inform and train other companies to reduce waste and make an environmental difference. The program highlights the techniques that Amadeus Consulting currently uses and allows companies the opportunity to start a dialogue about sustainable practices.

Amadeus Consulting uses a two-fold trash diversion program, which includes co-mingled recycling containers, compost and a Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM). The CHaRM Center was built out of sustainable materials and allows Amadeus Consulting to recycle plastic bags, computers, ink cartridges, batteries and Styrofoam. In 2008, Amadeus Consulting won 1st place in the Zero Waste Awards for diverting 90% of its trash and has been able to maintain that same percentage since. In 2009, Amadeus Consulting also became PACE certified. This yearly certification program requires business to fulfill four main areas of sustainability in business.

“We decided that while going from 90-92% in waste diversion would be a great achievement for Amadeus Consulting, we could make an even bigger difference by training other companies how to go from 0-80%.
