Boston Cedar Introduces New AZEK Building Products for 2010

Holbrook, MA, March 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Boston Cedar has expanded its 2010 AZEK Trim and AZEK Moulding program to include a new, thicker reversible 1 1/4" trim profile in the Frontier series which features a rustic wood-like texture on one face and a smooth matte finish on the other side . AZEK Cornerboards in a full 1 1/4" thickness that have a traditional New England smooth face option have also been added to the 2010 product roster. These products are a welcome response to today’s deeper profiled siding products, providing design flexibility and crisp shadow lines with reduced air and water infiltration openings. Additionally, Boston Cedar has expanded its stock AZEK Molding program to include 18 profiles with the addition of an 1 1/2" square baluster option and a 3-inch crown. Additionally, the 1/2" x 6" AZEK Beadboard product now features a wide shiplap nailing flange for easier installation and reduced expansion and contraction joint lines.

During the Spring of 2009 Boston Cedar launched distribution of the AZEK Deck Terra Collection with the rich, earthy colors of Kona and Fawn. Now for 2010, the Terra Collection rolls out two new colors. AZEK Deck Sedona, a medium brown and Tahoe, a gray shade that features the same durability, stain and scratch resistance as other AZEK Deck products.

The AZEK Deck Arbor Collection that features the look of exotic tropical hardwood has also been added for the 2010 season. Three new colors with a subtle wood grain and pattern that resemble tropical woods include Acacia, a rich walnut brown; Morado, a light brown similar to Ipe; and Redland Rose, with warm reddish hues. All three deck boards have the lush look of natural exotic tropical woods, but are easier and lighter to work with. Acacia, Morado and Redland Rose are available in 12',16' and 20' lengths with matching fascia boards and fastening devices.

To accent the rich tones of the new decking colors, AZEK Rail’s Premier Series has been expanded to include the new colors of Kona, a deep chocolate brown color and the increasingly popular Black option to match many decking colors.
