St. Paul, MN, March 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- St. Paul based Carpe Diem Enterprises, Inc. is celebrating its 5-year anniversary by committing to donate 5% of all 2010 profits to The Skin Cancer Foundation, the only global non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to eradicating the world's most common cancer, skin cancer. Since 2005, Carpe Diem Enterprises has provided consumers a healthy alternative to tanning by offering airbrush spray tanning equipment through its e-commerce website: www.spraytanforlife.com.
The World Health Organization's cancer division recently listed tanning beds and other sources of ultraviolet radiation as definitive cancer-causers, classifying them in the top cancer risk category, deeming them as deadly as arsenic and mustard gas. Nearly 69,000 U.S. cases of melanoma were diagnosed last year and a new analysis of about 20 studies concludes that the risk of skin cancer jumps by 75% when people start using tanning beds before age 30. The American Cancer Society advises people to try bronzing or self-tanning creams instead of tanning beds.
Spray Tan For Life offers a healthy alternative to tanning beds by supplying an array of airbrush tanning systems and spray tan solutions for home use. Using precision airbrush instruments and spray tan solutions containing FDA-approved DHA, Spray Tan For Life allows consumers to achieve a bronzed look without exposing their skin to the risks of UV rays.
Airbrush tanning is performed using an air compressor and airbrush to apply tanning solution that contains DHA, a colorless sugar that causes the proteins and amino acids in the outer layer of a person’s skin to react with the oxygen in the air to produce a tan color. Spray Tan For Life’s airbrush spray tans, which use a fast-acting tanning solution, take about four hours to develop and usually last up to a week.
All Spray Tan For Life’s airbrush tanning units are carefully assembled, individually inspected and tested to meet the highest standard of excellence. “We are proud to offer men and women a full line of airbrush spray tanning kits that contain everything one needs for home airbrush tanning,” states Spray Tan For Life’s founder, Jennifer Rogers. “We offer an introductory kit that is great for beginners because it features an airbrush that is a little larger than the size of a pen and is very easy to handle. We also offer a quick application system that can cut spray tan application time to less than five minutes. Our goal is to offer consumers a healthy alternative to achieve that sun kissed look.”
Carpe Diem Enterprises, Inc., the parent company of Spray Tan For Life, was established in 2005.
