Sylvan Dell Publishing Celebrates eBook Week This Week
Sylvan Dell Publishing is ringing in the Spring with the sixth annual "Read an eBook Week" March 7-13.
Mt. Pleasant, SC, March 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sylvan Dell Wants You to Read an E-Book.
March 7-13 is “Read an E-Book Week”
March 7-13 celebrates the wonders of eBooks in the sixth annual “Read an E-Book Week.” In participation, Sylvan Dell will offer a free download of the spring 2010 release “Pandas’ Earthquake Escape” for the whole month of March.
“Read an E-Book Week” was created to educate the public about the advantages of reading electronically.
As a children’s book publishing company, Sylvan Dell aims to bring “science and math through literature” to young children by producing vividly illustrated picture books with an educational value. Sylvan Dell eBooks feature flip-viewer technology with English and Spanish audio and text, which provide educators and parents with a valuable resource that integrates reading, science, math, and language learning through fun, cross curricular activities.
“Whether in Auto-Flip or Manual Mode, you can switch back and forth between English and Spanish text and audio and remain on the same page,” said Lee German, Sylvan Dell publisher and co-founder. “With the Auto-Flip and Auto-Read features, our Sylvan Dell E-Books are powerful literacy and language learning tools that complement our mission of teaching ‘Science and Math Through Literature.’”
Sylvan Dell titles include a “For Creative Minds” section at the end of each story. This section provides fun activities and information to enhance the book’s educational value. Additionally, the Sylvan Dell Web site offers an abundant amount of supporting material including a 30-40 page “Teaching Activities” packet, interactive reading and math quizzes, an E-Book for each of Sylvan Dell’s 50 titles and much more. “Sylvan Dell E-Books offer children a high tech, fun alternative to video games,” said Donna German, co-founder of Sylvan Dell Publishing. “They encourage family reading and learning and that is what we want to promote.”
