"LV for HC" - Fashion Jewelry Meets Collegiette
HerCampus.com and Lady Vanderbilt Join in Exclusive Partnership.
New York, NY, March 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- HerCampus.com, the premier online magazine for college women across the nation, has teamed up and is set to launch an exclusive partnership with Lady Vanderbilt (http://www.ladyvanderbilt.com) on March 8th, a luxury fashion jewelry company based out of New York, to design a custom collection of college-themed pendants titled “LV for HC”.
The collection is made up of 20+ dainty, sparkly, trinket-like necklaces, each representing the different college and university branches on HerCampus.com. The pendants stay true to the classic Lady Vanderbilt style, and incorporate school letters and school colors with the strategic use of gold and silver tones, Swarovski crystals, and tiny vermeil or sterling silver letter charms.
The “Lady Harvard University” pendant is made up of silver or gold colored H and U letter charms, with small crimson and black colored Swarovski crystal drops, all dangling from an 18” silver or gold colored chain. The “Lady Western Michigan University” pendant is made up of silver or gold colored W, M, and U letter charms, with small chocolate brown and tan colored Swarovski crystal drops, all dangling from an 18” silver of gold colored chain.
“LV for HC will offer students a way to show off their school spirit without sacrificing their style.” said Windsor Hanger, President of Her Campus Media.
LV for HC is also teaming up with DonateMyDress (http://donatemydress.org), a non-profit organization that donates prom dresses to girls who cannot afford them, and Hearts with Haiti, a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to support those in Haiti. LV for HC will donate 10% of proceeds from all silver colored pendants to DonateMyDress.org and 10% of proceeds from all gold colored pendants to Hearts with Haiti.
“The partnership is such a good idea, it’s a perfect blend of fashion and philanthropy, school spirit, style and substance!” said Tammy Tibbetts of DonateMyDress, a Hearst Corporation.
The LV for HC collection can be purchased only through http://www.hercampusshop.com. Each pendant retails for $36.50 USD and comes fully packaged.
