Why Men Cheat and Why Women Cheat to be First Stage Plays Hosted at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino
Dover, DE, March 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino will for the first time host two stage play productions in the Rollins Center, beginning with the popular comedy “Why Men Cheat” on Friday, May 28 at 8:30 p.m. followed by its sister production “Why Women Cheat” on Saturday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $50, and a special package offers a $5 discount when tickets for both productions are purchased together.
“Why Men Cheat” is the funny, hit stage play produced by renowned writer/actor Priest Tyaire, the visionary behind the hugely successful “The Tears of a Teenage Mother,” which earned rave reviews to sell out audiences in Delaware, Philadelphia and New Jersey. The story behind “Why Men Cheat” (originally titled ”Why Black Men Cheat”) is derived from Tyaire’s own experiences growing up, watching his favorite uncle run around with women and eventually finding himself doing the same.
“Why Men Cheat” follows Corey Kennedy, a 30-year-old self-proclaimed ladies man struggling to stop the game playing. Kennedy walks the audience through his life experiences in this hilarious production and provides an enlightening perspective to why men cheat and the art of not getting caught. A cast of talented actors and singers tell the story through interactions at the gym and barbershop, with an unexpected twist at the end.
Tyaire’s newest comedy play, “Why Women Cheat,” is another entertaining show with a message, this time revealing the feminine point of view on the subject of infidelity. The play presents an uproarious “Men can dish it out, but can they take it?” point of view. Patricia, Beverly and Dominique want to settle a score with the men who have been running around on them for years. “But unlike a man, once a woman's heart is involved it is a whole different ballgame.”
Both “Cheat” productions on Friday and Saturday run 2½ hours with a 15-minute intermission. Tickets for each show are $30, $35, $40 and $50 and may be purchased online at www.doverdowns.com/entertainment/concerts--events or by calling VIP Services at 800-711-5882. Discount packages may only be purchased through VIP Services.
