ActionCOACH Chopper Takes Action
Rescue Crew Gets World Class Advice.
Las Vegas, NV, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- What do a helicopter rescue service and a business coach have in common? They work hard for the community; one saves lives, the other saves businesses. And when they team up, that’s when the action really happens.
Award winning ActionCoach Bruce Campbell has teamed up with AGL Action Rescue Helicopter as part of a coaching program for non-profit organisations.
The program, called Coaching for a Cause, is a volunteer effort on behalf of more than 1,000 ActionCOACH Offices worldwide who are partnering with local charities and non-profit organisations in a 6-month coaching program based on the global company’s successful business development and team building systems.
“This is the perfect time for this type of program,” said ActionCOACH CEO Brad Sugars. “The economy has made it more difficult for charities to get donations.”
As part of the program, Mr Campbell will work with the organisation’s management team to implement a series of proprietary systems and processes designed to increase the scope and effectiveness of donor outreach and contributions.
AGL Action Rescue is a non-profit organisation consisting of helicopters and support staff whom perform life saving rescues, run medical and search missions and saves lives throughout south-east Queensland. The rescue crew are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have served the community for over 30 years.
With each rescue costing approx. $12,000 and receiving 1000 call outs per year on average, the service is not cheap to run. They are funded by AGL Energy and its customers, the government and other commercial organisations, although community donations form the greater portion of contributions.
Rob Walford, CEO of AGL Action Rescue Helicopter, said “It’s great to have Bruce on our team. We are working on improving areas of management and team within the organisation as well as raising much needed funds. We work with the best emergency services to save lives and now we have the best business coach to complement it.”
Coaching for a Cause International Director, Cameron Rogers, said “With the daily challenge of rising costs and community demands, we see that by working with Bruce Campbell, the service can not only continue to deliver their critical service but at an even higher level into the future.
"The AGL Rescue Helicopters provide an essential service to the community. By continuing to have the chopper in the air every day means the service will have a positive effect on somebody's life" Rogers said.
The coach, Mr Campbell, said “I have always been amazed at the work that the Action Rescue team do and have always wanted to help out in some way. When the Coaching for a Cause Program came along it was the perfect opportunity to take action towards that.”
He also spoke about why rescue team are such heroes, “They are not just flying around up there on joy rides; inside are the best paramedics & pilots saving lives with unbelievable dedication to their job. They are out there pulling people from the ocean, while we are sleeping and taking critically injured patients to hospital, while we are relaxing on the weekend. ”
Campbell was recently awarded Asia Pacific & Global ‘Coach of the Year’ for 2009 within the ActionCOACH franchise. ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching and executive coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries.
