Charleston Shi Will Host a Public Event in Celebrating the Release of Second of 11-Book Series

Indianapolis, IN, March 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Charleston Shi will Host a public event at Westgate Chrysler dealer in Plainfield, Indiana, in celebrating the release of the second of 11-book series.

Charleston Shi will host a public event in celebrating the release of second of 11-book series, Storm of the Kraken and upcoming third book, Rage of the Serpents.

The event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Charleston Shi will perform his world premiere piano composition, Mystic Eyes, which was inspired by a character in his 11-book series, The Quest of the Phoenix. Professor Berners, University of Indianapolis, praised the composition, ”A very intense and dramatic statement. This sounds like a very mature piece with interesting chromaticism and expressive dissonances. Your sharing of melodic material between both hands is good. The continuously shifting textures and transforming melodic ideas maintain interest very well. This is a very good piece and you are a talented composer! About the Author
Charleston Shi is a 13-year-old eighth grader at Avon Middle School South. He is in the process of publishing 11-book series “The Quest of the Phoenix”. Book 1, The Phoenix and the Yeti, was published in September 2009. Book 2, Storm of the Kraken, was released in February 2010. Book 3, Rage of the Serpents, will be published in April, 2010.
