37 Management Announces the Release of "My Story" by Sway Penala
My Story was written, produced and performed by Sway Penala. The album is 15-song musical illustration of the bounding emotions you feel in the journey of love. The album is set to release on May 4 marketed by 37 Management and distributed in North America by Select-O-Hits Distribution.
San Ramon, CA, March 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sway Peñala is set to release his debut solo album, titled My Story, on Tuesday, May 4. Although this album is the first as a solo artist, he no stranger to the studio or stage. Originally signed to Classified Records in 1998, he was a member of Drop ‘N Harmony and later formed 6th Day with former members of Geffen Recording artists Kai. Sway is most notable for making it to the finals during season 5 of American Idol.
After his departure from the show, Sway continued to tour with fellow AI alum Elliott Yamin until 2008. Sway was determined to continue composing, and he needed a break from the demanding tour schedule.
Fate intervened when he met Juliet. Smitten and overwhelmed by emotion, poetry and music flowed uncontrollably. The first song on the album, Lovely Lady” describes the feelings and emotions. Sway eagerly journalized every moment, jotting thoughts and sketches into his notebook. During the months that followed, Juliet spurred him to set the notebook to song. “Someone Like You” and “Smooth Route” continues to describe the blossoming love affair.
But as with any sudden burst of flame, their romance raged until it suddenly ended in disaster. Inspired by the pain & loneliess, “Better To Never” and “Anything But Goodbye” are familiar to every person that’s suffered heartbreak. “Pacemaker” and “Cry Like That” expose the frustration as pain gave way to anger.
