CHW Plan to Silence Their Customers
Crook, United Kingdom, March 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CHWorkspace, an office furniture company based in Essex, has been involved in the manufacture, distribution and supply of office furniture products to customers all over the UK, for over 17 years. They have always offered a professional level of service, mainly on a business to business level, providing sophisticated space planning and 3D renditions to help their customers visualise the final office furniture layout and to help them with colour schemes and finishes.
In addition to their experience and product knowledge, CHWorkspace are now offering to all their existing customers an innovative method of assessing the background noise in offices and work areas and have devised a simple way to present the findings to their customers, along with a 10 point plan and pricing, on how to reduce this unwanted noise.
The Managing Director of CHWorkspace, Mr Vincent Wright, recently explained how this came about by saying, “We have always extolled the virtues of proper sound absorbing desk screens and panels, but had no way of giving a clear indication to our clients as to what the improvement would be, if they invested in these screens. To many clients there would be no discernable difference because there were a number of other factors which needed to be addressed first of all, before these screens could do their bit”.
Realising that something needed to be done, their Sales Director Jonathan Marriott approached a local office screen manufacturer, who, coincidentally, had been working on the same problem for a number of months. They devised a simple questionnaire which a trained office furniture consultant could use on site, and with the aid of this, a decibel meter, and some other equipment, a simple to understand report could be produced for the client.
CHWorkspace trialled this new idea with ten of their largest office furniture customers, and the results were encouraging, leading Vincent Wright to comment “all ten responses were favourable, with our customers being very impressed at how concise the report was. It (the report) illustrated their office noise level against the ideal level, the steps that could be taken to reduce their level of noise, what the reduction would be, and how much it was cost. Simple; Effective; Brilliant.”
CHWorkspace now intend to roll out this noise assessment programme to as many of their customers as possible, and to make them aware of the many innovative ways of reducing noise in the office or workspace. Office screens and partitions are just a small part of what can be added to improve sound quality. Operator chairs, Artwork panels, tambour cupboard fronts, and wall panels can all be made using sound absorbing materials and the overall affect of the right approach can be amazing
