Tia Stewart is an African-American writer whose penchant for verbiage started in the fifth grade when her teachers thought she was passing handwritten notes about boys, but she and her best friend were editing each other’s books and magazine articles. Her first paperback book is a poetry collection, Colors of Man: Tribute to African-American Men (ISBN 978-14327-3818-1). Her first publication, Colors of a Man: Transgressions and Hope was published in April 2009 as an EBook on Amazon.
She writes in several genres, but poetry is her passion. Ms. Stewart is an RN, who attended Northwestern University and is an alumnus of Norfolk State University, and Excelsior University. She also attended the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University for one year before becoming a full-time mommy. Ms. Stewart is the former CEO of Big Momma bail bonds located in Richmond, Virginia. Ms. Stewart is an active member of James River Writers. Tia lives in Richmond, Virginia with her family.
