Center for Laser Surgery Introduces Restylane-L and Perlane-L
The Center for Laser Surgery announces the availability of Restylane and Perlane with Lidocaine.
Washington, DC, March 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Center for Laser Surgery announces the immediate availability of Restylane-L and Perlane-L, also known as Restylane with Lidocaine and Perlane with Lidocaine.
These newly FDA approved products are a prepackaged response to the popular practice of mixing the anesthetic lidocaine with Restylane and Perlane for the reduction of pain during injection of these hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Restylane and Perlane are commonly combined with Dysport or Botox treatment, achieving incredible non-surgical facelift results, also known as the ‘liquid lift’, reducing common signs of aging such as facial wrinkles, expression lines, skin laxity, and volume loss. The Center for Laser Surgery is the largest Restylane, Perlane and Dysport / Botox practice in the Washington, DC and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Restylane and Perlane are hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a natural product found throughout the body, including the skin and eyes. In the skin, hyaluronic acid provides fullness and elasticity. Over time hyaluronic acid and related collagen levels decrease, leading to a loss of elasticity and allowing the formation of wrinkles and folds.
Hyaluronic acid is a hydrophilic molecule, meaning ‘water loving’. This allows hyaluronic acid to attract water molecules throughout its breakdown process, which is the reason for the long-lasting volumizing effects of Restylane and Perlane even as the original hyaluronic acid molecules degrade. In general, the effects of hyaluronic acid fillers last between 4-8 months post injection, although results can vary greatly depending on individual physiology. The most common use of Restylane and Perlane are for nasolabial folds, or the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
Restylane and Perlane have an excellent safety profile and are extremely well tolerated. Restylane-L and Perlane-L have the same indications as Restylane and Perlane; however, they are not appropriate for use in patients allergic to lidocaine.
