MLT/Instructing Technologies Hosts Open House & Fundraiser
MLT/Instructing Technologies is celebrating the grand opening of their Appleton office with “Team 93,” Appleton Area School District’s Robotics Team.
Appleton, WI, March 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- MLT/Instructing Technologies (MLT), Wisconsin’s leading provider of technical, applications and soft skills training is celebrating the opening of their new office location in Appleton, Wisconsin on April 21, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Open House will also be a charity fundraiser for N.E.W Apple Corps Robotic’s “Team 93” – a team composed of students and mentors from the Fox Valley area that create a robot to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
The new location offers multiple classrooms, a kitchen and a conference area for clients to enjoy. Each classroom can hold classes between six and twelve students and are fully equipped with computers and monitors for the ideal training environment.
“We are very excited about our new space! The location is great and we now have four classrooms to better service the Fox Valley area with their training needs.” Karen Kostrewa, CEO of MLT/Instructing Technologies said. “We are pleased that we can not only show off our new space, but also use this Open House to raise funds for Team 93 which connects technology, professional mentors and students.”
Team 93 is composed of students, mentors and teachers from the Fox Valley area. They are one of 1800 teams that compete nationally in the FIRST Robotics Competition. Every year, Team 93 steps up to the FIRST Robotics challenge with the help of mentors to create a working robot that fits the FIRST challenge rules. Together they brainstorm, build and test their creation in just six weeks. This year the team will compete in two regional events and the Championship Event to be held in Atlanta. The Open House is just days after the championship competition.
To raise funds for Team 93, MLT will be holding two small training sessions on using social media to your advantage. The first session “Leveraging LinkedIn” will be from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., the second session “Using Twitter to Drive Business” will be from 5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. MLT is asking for a donation of $10 for each training session, with all proceeds going to Team 93.
