Lesbian Actress Gets Her Teeth Knocked Out in Gender Play
Noelle Messier Sinks Her Teeth Into Slaughter City.
Los Angeles, CA, March 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Out lesbian actress, Noelle Messier, chipped her four top front teeth in the middle of a choreographed stage fight on March 8th, 2010, while performing the lead role of Cod, a woman disguised as a man, in the play, Slaughter City by Naomi Wallace, at the Son of Semele Ensemble Theatre in Los Angeles.
In her blog about the incident, Noelle Messier, writes, “Stabbing reality and the colorful haze of the imaginary world blended as I stumbled through the long scene and into the next before I could make my exit stage right. The show must go on.”
“Fake blood oozes from my mouth between the sharp edges and fragments of teeth floating in my mouth. The theatre audience has no idea that this fight has become all too real.”
The next day, Noelle Messier’s dentist, Vick Kargodorian, D.D.S. put temporaries on her teeth and assured her that the replacement veneers to be put on in two weeks will look as good if not better than the originals.
Throughout this experience, Noelle Messier has maintained her positive attitude and is embracing change.
“Perhaps I needed to get my teeth knocked out to drill it into my skull that I need to focus and be committed in my acting career and my love life and that they can co-exist together.”
Noelle Messier has been involved in a committed international long distance relationship for five months with a woman she has never met in person who found her from an article on the website, AterEllen.com.
Noelle Messier will continue to perform the play, Slaughter City, through March 21 and tickets can be obtained through http:://www.sonofsemele.org
