International Warehousing Takes a New 'Go Green' Business Initiative to Warehousing in Florida, New Jersey and New York

New York, NY, March 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rapid population growth has caused natural resources throughout the world to deplete. International Warehouse Group has announced that they want to help restore the beauty of the Earth by following the Go Green initiative. By following this idea, International Warehouse Group is hoping to become a leader in the warehousing industry while encouraging others to do the same.

International Warehouse Group is moving toward this initiative in the area of lighting and electricity. Their staff is making a conscious effort to turn out the lights when they leave a room. Lighting up an empty room serves as much of a purpose as leaving a computer on overnight; Shutting off these lights and computers is a small step toward going green. In addition, with the support of LIPA, Intl Warehousing has changed thousands of light fixtures in their warehouse to a new high efficient system.

International Warehouse Group is taking many leaps forward to be more eco-friendly as they are also currently looking into high-emission diesel trucks to zero-emission electric trucks. Making this environmentally friendly switch, will allow for less fuel consumption as well as less overall pollution.

Moreover, Intl Warehousing staff are checking their tires for proper inflation. "We’ve learned that if the tires are under-inflated this can lower the gas mileage of our commercial vehicles. We check the tires frequently to ensure the best gas mileage possible" President John Laforte remarked. He continued by saying "We also with all our dedicated drivers have a plan in action of turning off their engines at every stop and not run their equipment when it is not necessary, this alone can save a tremendous amount of fuel and cuts down on the emissions, we could not due this without the support of our drivers. If all drivers did this we could cut the emission tremendously worldwide."

Every little bit counts in the efforts to Go Green. At International Warehouse Group the staff are recycling and/or reusing all paper, cardboard, metal, and plastic. Not only are they recycling and/or reusing materials from the warehouse, but every employee is encouraged to recycle water bottles, soda cans, unnecessary papers, etc. Moreover, they have also committed to buying more recycled paper for use within the offices.

International Warehouse Group understands the importance of the Go Green initiative. And with all their newly implemented eco-friendly strategies, they are confident that they are making an impact on the world. For more information, please visit www.intlwarehousing.com
