John Goldman’s QUADRANGLE, Joined by Another Three Fine Jazz Musicians This Spring 2010

Jazz composer / musician John Goldman is pleased to announce the next three guest artists to join his band QUADRANGLE’s Guest Artist Series at Uncommon Ground on Devon in Chicago. Monday, April 5 guitarist Dave Miller, whom many have called “genius,” shares the stage. On May 10, trumpeter Marquis Hill hits it with the band, and yet another rising star, fellow Chicagoan Mike Salter joins the band on tenor sax and bass clarinet for some smooth summer tunes June 14, 2010.

Chicago, IL, March 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jazz composer / musician John Goldman is pleased to announce the next three guest artists to join his band QUADRANGLE’s Guest Artist Series at Uncommon Ground on Devon in Chicago. This Spring guitarist Dave Miller, whom many have called “genius,” shares the stage on Monday, April 5. Most recently, Brad Walseth of jazzchicago.net said Mr. Miller "…is a master of using electronics to produce atmospherics ranging from chiming ring modulated tones to shimmering swells to sheer walls of distortion." On Monday, May 10, trumpeter Marquis Hill hits it with the band. Another rising star, fellow Chicagoan and tenor sax bass clarinet Mike Salter joins the band on tenor sax bass clarinet for some smooth summer tunes this June 14, 2010. All shows start at 8pm. QUADRANGLE features original compositions by Mr. Goldman and collaboration with notable Chicago jazz artist Scott Hesse on Guitar, Patrick Mulcahy on Bass and Cory Healey on Drums. The QUADRANGLE Guest Artist Series continues to bring in fans, and new faces. Last month they rocked the house when special guest artists Katinka Kleijn on cello and violinist Zara Zaharieva, joined the band with more new Goldman tunes written especially for strings.
