Newport Boat Show Kicks Off Spring Boating Season
In-Water Yacht Show Returns to Newport Beach for 37th Year
Newport Beach, CA, March 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Newport Boat Show, California’s premier big boat and yacht show, will return to Lido Marina Village April 15-18, for its 37th year. Southern California’s top dealers and brokers are expected to exhibit more than 250 big boats and yachts at this year’s event.
Show visitors will have the opportunity to explore more than 400,000 square feet of floating dock exhibits and boardwalk displays, including luxurious multimillion-dollar yachts, some exceeding 100 feet in length. The show will also feature a wide selection of 35- to 65-foot vessels, including sportfishers, motoryachts, cruisers and more.
“The new year is shaping up to be great for the Newport Boat Show,” said show producer Duncan McIntosh. “Based on the numerous inquiries we’ve already received, we expect to see both exhibitors and consumers come out in force at this year’s event.”
All vessels will be open to show-goers and available for inspection, a rare opportunity for boating enthusiasts and potential buyers to get up-close-and-personal with one of the West Coast’s biggest selections of luxurious big boats and yachts.
With state-of-the-art technology and plush amenities, most of the larger vessels are better appointed than the average home. Features on these luxurious yachts include multiple plasma televisions, granite countertops, leather and exotic wood-trimmed interiors and control panels that rival those on jet aircraft.
The latest electronics, marine accessories, gear and essential yacht services -- including marine financing and insurance -- will also be showcased, making the Newport Boat Show a one-stop shopping experience for boating enthusiasts and potential buyers.
Lido Marina Village is located at Via Lido and Newport Boulevard in Newport Beach, one block south of Pacific Coast Highway. Show hours are: noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 18. Admission is $12 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Free offsite parking and continuous shuttle service will be available. Visit www.newportinwaterboatshow.com for details.
The Newport Boat Show is produced by the Duncan McIntosh Co. Inc., publisher of Sea Magazine, Boating World, The Log, FishRap and Editor & Publisher, and producer of the Lido Yacht Expo.
