Corpus Christi becomes the seventh Visiting Physicians Association office in the state of Texas, 30th overall in eight states.

The office, which is located at 4818 Everhart Road, becomes VPA’s seventh location in the state of Texas. It will cover Nueces, Aransas, Kleberg and San Patricio Counties. The Corpus Christi practice is the organization’s 30th office overall in eight states, which also include Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin and Virginia.
VPA specializes in the care of the geriatric and home bound patient. Founded in 1993, it now has more than 145 highly-qualified physicians and specialists on staff who are experts in treating the needs of the aged through comprehensive medical care in the home ranging from routine exams to complex treatment plans.
Dr. Fernando Ortiz is the physician who will work out of the Corpus Christi office. He comes to VPA after working as a primary care physician for the VA Hospital in Corpus Christi for over 18 years. Carolyn Arnold will serve as the practice manager.
