Vietnam Sourcing Report: Baby & Children's Toys & Garments Shows 100 Percent of Makers Anticipate Export Growth in 2010
Makers cite abundant supply of domestic raw materials to offer competitively priced activity, learning and discovery toys, baby wear, casual apparel and swimwear.
Ho Chi MInh City, Vietnam, March 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The non-profit Kearny Alliance has released the Vietnam Sourcing Report: Baby & Children's Toys & Garments to give global buyers access to qualified suppliers in Vietnam. The report is published with the support of Global Sources as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The report includes profiles of 32 manufacturers, plus descriptions, prices and packaging details for 96 best-selling export products. Products range from activity, learning and discovery toys to baby wear, casual apparel and swimwear.
“Vietnam’s baby and children’s garment and toys makers benefit from the country’s most important export sectors: apparel and wooden products,” said Alexander Boome, program director of The Kearny Alliance.
“For the baby and children’s wear sector, suppliers ensure consistent quality by using automated production lines with imported machinery. Baby and children toys benefit from the country’s long tradition of quality hand craftsmanship and unique designs.”
Survey results show makers target EU; highlight product and price trends.
The survey of Vietnam manufacturers of baby and children’s toys and garments featured in the report shows:
* 100 percent are optimistic of export growth;
* 59 percent of makers will maintain quotes for the next year;
* 50 percent will target the EU market; and,
* 56 percent will focus on more colorful patterns and designs.
One export manufacturer featured in the report, Duong Thi Phuong Hien, director of Asia Crafts, said: “We are starting to have good sale leads from various buyers. We expect to convert into real orders soon. This Kearny Alliance / Global Sources program is a good chance for us to achieve our goal of sale growth for 2010.”
More sources for global buyers, more export sales, more jobs created.
“Each supplier featured in the Digital and print sourcing report also has a website on Global Sources Online for marketing exposure to buyers worldwide,” Boome said. “This provides buyers with information of export suppliers’ new products and capabilities in whatever format they prefer.
“Through this powerful combination of online and print marketing, we help create jobs in developing economies through export promotion and advance the mission of The Kearny Alliance: Aid through Trade.”
