Egypt Yellow Pages Signs Cooperative Agreement with Egyptian Government
Through this agreement, the maps developed by Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd for Bawaba will enable users to find the facilities nearest their location for various government services. Mapping is currently available for more than 72 government services provided by the government’s Real Estate and Documentation Authority, the Electricity Authority, the Directorate of Education, and the Directorate of Health Affairs, with more government agencies to be added as the agreement moves forward.
Cairo, Egypt, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd, the Local Search Company, has signed a cooperative agreement with the Egypt’s Ministry of Administrative Development to provide electronic mapping services for the Egyptian e-government portal, Bawaba (www.egypt.gov.eg).
Through this agreement, the maps developed by Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd for Bawaba will enable users to find the facilities nearest their location for various government services. Mapping is currently available for more than 72 government services provided by the government’s Real Estate and Documentation Authority, the Electricity Authority, the Directorate of Education, and the Directorate of Health Affairs, with more government agencies to be added as the agreement moves forward.
Currently, the mapping service can be accessed two ways. By clicking on the “Gov. Maps Service” icon, users can select the ministry, authority, or directorate responsible for the service they seek. Alternatively, users can select the “Citizens Services” link in the “Forms and Applications” section, and then choose a service, such as “transferring ownership of a house.” In both cases, an interactive map appears displaying the locations offering the service, along with nearby landmarks – such as banks, hospitals, schools, gas stations, among others – and contact details for the location – addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers. Users can filter their searches by city and area. Users have the option of roadmap, satellite, or hybrid views for the maps.
Previously, users could download the forms and applications they needed from Bawaba, but finding out where to submit the documentation required an addition step. All the required information for submitting a form now appears in one place.
