AIESEC Parents Evening
Parents Evening organized by AIESEC for new recruits to give parents light on the organisation and its history.
Chandigarh, India, April 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- After an intensive month-long recruitment campaign, AIESEC Chandigarh inducted 70 brilliant new recruits into the exciting and extraordinary world of AIESEC. After their induction, the local chapter organised a forum in order to introduce their parents to AIESEC and share our objectives and vision with them.
On February 27, 2010, the parents of these new members gathered at Indira Holiday Home at 4:30 pm for an evening of understanding of the world of AIESEC. The forum began with the Local Committee President Sahil Dewan’s address who briefed the parents on AIESEC’s history, its vision and the overall organisational structure along with presentations on these. This was followed by experience sharing by AIESEC Chandigarh alumni, Pancham Prashar and Sarthak Aggarwal who were Local Committee Presidents in the years 2000 and 2004 respectively and now run CueBlocks, an internet and social media marketing firm. After this, parents of two members of the executive body addressed everyone and shared their wonderful experience about how being a part of AIESEC has benefited their children and helped them in their development. The Executive Body also freely answered any further queries, concerns and questions about AIESEC that the assembled parents had. To take the most out of AIESEC, the parents' need to understand the organisation and need to be lend their support to their children.
