Redfearn and Associates Opens Doors to Lend a Helping Hand to Non-Profit Organizations in Need of Production and Event Planning Services

Redfearn and Associates is committed to providing high-quality, professional production and event planning services to non-profit organizations.

San Diego, CA, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Music industry veteran, Steve Redfearn, formerly of AEG Live and Viejas Entertainment, recently celebrated the opening of Redfearn & Associates, a brand new full-service firm headquartered in Leucadia, California specializing in event creation and planning, talent buying and production for non-profit, corporate and individual clients.

Since officially opening its doors in the Summer of 2009, Redfearn & Associates has already developed a lengthy client roster that includes many of the city’s largest non-profit organizations including: Promises2Kids, Voices for Children, the Alzheimer’s Association and The Rancho Santa Fe Auxiliary Unit of Rady Children’s Hospital.

“Too often, non-profits are either overcharged for production or the services provided are not of the best quality,” says Redfearn. “Non-profit organizations deserve the opportunity to receive fundraising event planning and production services delivered at a very high level by seasoned professionals. It’s largely because of this need that I decided to create Redfearn & Associates.”

Steve Redfearn has accumulated over 40 years of experience in the talent booking and production arenas, beginning his career as the tour and production manager for Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and Jimmy Buffett. Since 1988, Redfearn has worked for several prestigious nationally recognized companies including Bill Silva Presents and AEG Live San Diego. Redfearn also founded Viejas Entertainment, creating the popular Concerts in the Park Series. Redfearn has produced shows in venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, the San Diego Sports Arena, Humphrey's Concerts by the Bay, Summer Pops/Bayside Concerts at the Embarcadero, Symphony Hall and the Spreckles and Civic Theatres.

Redfearn was also instrumental in producing several of San Diego's most memorable events, including the INSIGHTS Symposium for the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, the Superfest event for the San Diego Super Bowl XXXVII Committee, the Republican National Convention and the ESPN X Games.

Since opening Redfearn & Associates, the company has confirmed national headlining entertainment acts including Jewel, Hall and Oats, Tristan Prettyman, Shawn Colvin, Bill Cosby, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Pat Benatar for local non-profit galas and fundraising events.

The three person Redfearn & Associates team also counts Jay Sheehan as Director of its Production Department. Sheehan, who brings over twenty years of experience and knowledge to the firm, has worked as the Operations Manager for then Coors Amphitheater, Production Manager for the San Diego Symphony, Old Globe Theater, Bill Silva Presents, AEG Live and Viejas Entertainment. Sheehan is currently on the faculty at San Diego State University in the School of Theatre, Television and Film.

Ashley Constans, Redfearn & Associates’ Director of Operations, is formerly of Merrill Lynch in San Diego & New York City and heads up the account services and the individual client event department for the company. Constans works closely with non-profit organizations in the areas of decor and live and silent auctions.

Upcoming projects slated for Redfearn & Associates in 2010 include the San Diego Alzheimer’s “Un-Gala: Unplugged with Shawn Colvin”, Voices for Children “Starry Starry Night”, Jewel Ball with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and the Promises2Kids annual concert fundraiser. Redfearn & Associates will also soon launch their Individual Client Department in order to accommodate the increased demand for specialized production services for private birthday and anniversary celebrations, “Sweet 16” parties and wedding receptions.
