National School Opens Bismarck Campus National School
Bismarck, ND, April 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Premier Hair Program - JZ Trend Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School - Celebrates with Grand Opening April 6
Paul Mitchell Schools proudly announce the opening of their newest school, JZ Trend Academy, located in Bismarck, N.D. In celebration, John Paul Mitchell Systems CEO John Paul DeJoria and Dean of Paul Mitchell Schools Winn Claybaugh plan to jet in and personally endorse the grand opening festivities set for April 6.
JZ Trend Academy is not only a new Paul Mitchell Partner School, it also is located on a brand-new campus at 1320 Tacoma Ave. S. Both events will be celebrated April 6, and the public is invited to attend the free grand opening celebration. Meet John Paul DeJoria and Winn Claybaugh from 11:30am-1:30pm. Brief tours of the new campus will be offered throughout the day.
The 11,200-square-foot building was designed to accommodate as many as 300 students at a time. Like all Paul Mitchell Schools, the Bismarck location will work and educate exclusively with Paul Mitchell products. Instructors and students will follow an aggressive, ongoing educational and cultural development program.

JZ Trend Academy may be a new name in the area, but the school’s roots date back to 1962 when it was known as Jack’s Hairstylist College, and then RD Hairstyling College. Owner and Dean Jodi Zahn is excited to lead the only Paul Mitchell Partner School in a five-state area. JZ Trend Academy offers two cosmetology programs—1800 and 2100 hours—as well as a nail program. A new program, esthetics skin, will be available in the fall. Features of the new building include classrooms, theatre room, library, photo booth, spa wash house for hair, spa nail clinic, spa skin clinic, and Phase 1 and Phase 2 Hair Stations.
“This is a wonderful campus,” Zahn says. “Our future professionals will be inspired!”
Paul Mitchell Schools are also committed to making a difference in the world. Through their annual three-month fundraising campaign, Future Professionals across the country have raised and donated more than $3.4 million to charitable organizations in the last six years. They’ve built two homes with Habitat for Humanity; fed thousands of African orphans; and supported the victims of AIDS, breast cancer, homelessness, hurricanes, abuse, and hundreds of other causes. They’ve also formed student-run “Go Green Teams” to find ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle in their schools. In addition, a portion of the cost of every student technical kit is donated to the American Forest Global ReLeaf Program to help replace America's trees.
