Author Publishes an American Trilogy : "We Were The People"

Dallas, TX, April 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lisa Stickney has completed an eight year long journey with the publication of a sweeping American trilogy featuring three generations of Americans whose journey began on Ellis Island in September 1892. They lived out their lives against the backdrop of 100 years of American history.

The trilogy is a story, a refuge, and a dream that grew in the fertile soil of a working mom with a special needs son and two elite club soccer daughters, whose career in Veterinarian Medicine and as a wife and mother left her searching for an answer to the existential question, “Is this all there is”?

The story was a labor of love built on the foundation of extensive research into the lives and times of the people who came before us. They arrived penniless on our shores, carved out a life in a foreign land and then built their families, businesses, and careers during the excitement and difficulties of the times we all recognize as our shared history. The characters are all people we have known from our own family history. They are easy to love and easier to root for.

The Trilogy titled "We Were The People" is divided into three books: "Life", "Liberty", and the Pursuit Of Happiness" and covers the story of each successive generation's struggle to survive, grow, and build on what was gifted them. Like the author, the characters struggle to find joy in their lifes labors. They struggle to prepare the next generation who will go on to further shape the gift that was theirs....America.

The Trilogy is currently available at http://stores.lulu.com/lisastickney. LuLu is the premiere marketplace for recently published titles with over 300,000 titles available for purchase on line.
