Focus™ Surfboards Welcomes Pro Sam Pa’e to Focus SUP Team Riders

Los Angeles, CA, April 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sam Pa’e's background in SUP is about as extensive you can find, his goes all the way back to 2004, the early first years of the sport. Being a life-long wave rider and ocean enthusiast, he quickly picked up the basics of SUP riding. Over the years, his constant participation in local Hawaiian & mainland SUP contests, has helped him impressive SUP skills and accomplishments to go.

Some of the contests he has competed in are big names in the SUP community, such as Duke Fest, Buffalo's Big Board Contest, China Uyemura Classics, and the Quicksilver Makahiki Games.

Says Pa’e, "I also entered a few outer island SUP events like to Naish Paddle Board Race, and The Olukai SUP Internationals." In traveling to Dana Point, CA for the Rainbow Sandals Battle of the Paddle, he won 1st in his class during the open event race.

"These competitions and his constant strong showings put him on a winning streak culminating in an invitation to enter the SUP World Tour. One of his most memorable experiences was during the 2010 Ku Ikaika Expression Session, held in Makaha on March 1, 2010. Says Pa’e, "The waves were breaking from 10-15ft and up 25ft........Huge!"

When asked about his SUP outreach efforts, Pa’e replied, "I love to share my Mana’o (knowledge) with anyone who wants to learn. This is something that has been passed down from my family. The biggest favor you can ever return to someone who has given the knowledge to you is to pass it on to the next generation. Then, it will be passed on in the future and that’s the true Aloha spirit."
