A Taste of Tequila & Tamales by the Bay -- An "A-Maize-Ing" Benefit Event for Benchmark Institute
A Taste of Tequila & Tamales returns to San Francisco on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Historic Fort Mason Conference Center. It is an “A-Maize-ing” event benefiting Benchmark Institute.
San Francisco, CA, April 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Love tamales? How about Tequila? Benchmark Institute will host A Taste of Tequila & Tamales by the Bay, San Francisco’s fourth annual tasting on Sunday, April 18th at Fort Mason Center. This event spotlights two popular and tantalizing flavors of Mexico -- tamales and tequila! Visitors to the tasting will discover the finer points of tequila tasting and will be able to watch mixologists battle to make the best tequila cocktail in a one-of-a-kind competition called "Tequila Rocks".
Sample tamales will be offered by Cocina Poblana, La Espiga de Oro, the Tamale Factory, The Whole Tortilla, Evelia and Tres Agaves. Premium tequilas will be served from Tequila Don Julio, Jose Cuervo Tradicional and Tequila El Relingo. Tasting visitors can also enjoy heirloom beans from Rancho Gordo, sweet and savory nuts from Nutty By Nature, Alfajores from Sabores del Sur, pastry from Delicias Salvadoreña, and coffee from Mamá Art Café. Shoppers will be able to browse for handmade jewelry from Yessica’s Creations and ceramic and tile art from SuhaSuha Studio.
This event benefits Benchmark Institute, a nonprofit organization that teaches advocates in non-profits how to use the law to help low-income communities.
