The new requirement calls for medical evacuation insurance, and travel medical insurance to be set in place for each traveler. Before the National Assembly approved the tourism law, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) introduced the draft decree that requires travel agencies to provide a minimum of US$50,000 in compulsory tourist insurance for an inbound traveler if the tourist doesn't already have insurance and US$30,000 for domestic tourists who register for adventure tours.
