Collins College Hosts CW’s “America’s Next Top Model” Casting Call

School celebrates the launch of its fashion design and merchandising program with hopeful, local models.

Phoenix, AZ, April 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Collins College is giving prospective, area models the chance to strut their stuff at the CW6’s “America’s Next Top Model” (ANTM) casting call April 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

While at the casting call, participants will get a first-hand look at the fashion design and merchandising program at Collins College. New this year, the program offers a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree and helps to prepare students for career opportunities in the industry with a mix of fashion sense and business acumen. Students in the program are taught the techniques for creating and producing garments as well as the knowledge needed to bring fashion designs to life and into the hands of consumers.

“Much like the young women who are working to make a name for themselves in modeling, our students are gaining the knowledge and experience needed to establish themselves in the industry,” said Christine Murphy, president, Collins College. “Our school environment feeds a passion for fashion, and we’re thrilled to sponsor a casting that emulates the drive for success that we see among our students.”

Hosted by successful model and talk show host Tyra Banks, ANTM is a reality series that follows a group of aspiring, female models as they compete in challenges with the hopes of taking home the coveted title of America’s next top model. America’s Next Top Model is currently in its fourteenth cycle and airs Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. on CW6.

The event is being held at Collins College in the Liberty Cotton Center, 4750 South 44th Place, Phoenix. ANTM producers are looking for women from diverse backgrounds between the ages of 18 and 27 who are at least 5’7”. For more details on the ANTM casting call go to www.azfamily.com.
