Buffalo’s First Annual Parenting Conference “WNY Families 411: Great Parents, Great Kids”
Western New York's first even conference dedicated to parenting will be held May 15, 2010.
Buffalo, NY, April 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The first parenting conference of its kind held in the Western New York region will take place on May 15, 2010 from 8:00am to 1:00pm at Hearthstone Manor, 333 Dick Road, Depew, New York. This gathering of educators and parents is sponsored by ParentTeach (www.parentteach.net) and Western New York Mom.com (wnymoms.ning.com).
“This is a first for the region”, commented author and presenter Dayle Lynn Pomerantz. “It is exciting for us to bring these resources to parents and bring parents together to network. This conference will increase parental awareness of how they can benefit from an understanding that how they parent, or their parenting style, provides a basis for many healthy developmental outcomes during adolescence. Understanding the different parenting styles and their impact on the parent-teen relationship may help parents—and their teens—navigate adolescence more smoothly.
