Rapidsoft Systems' Product Development Team Delivers Software for an Advanced Network Security Appliance to a Networking Technology Company

The client, a stealth mode networking startup, is developing next generation of networking equipment. The appliance involves cutting edge technologies and concepts of packet scheduler design, packet forwarding engine, traffic monitoring, packet switching, traffic optimization and network security. The core technology of appliance was developed by an academic research team in the engineering department of a leading US University and is aimed to increase security and throughput of corporate networks. The appliance is aimed both at enterprise customers and network operators. Both companies worked together to create this platform which still requires further testing and development of new features before being offered for sale in 2010 Q4.

Rapidsoft Systems' Development Team worked with the founding management team and engineers that designed the basic algorithms and core underlying technologies for the product. The project involved understanding complex algorithms, and translating the algorithms to code, testing software in the development lab on dedicated hardware platforms, performance monitoring and testing, packet tracing and such efforts as needed for development of networking gear. Rapidsoft System's team made use of its hardware development lab in NJ for testing the appliance's performance. The software was primarily written in its offshore software development center in India.
