ABC11 Eyewitness News Sponsors 28th Annual Fayetteville Dogwood Festival

Fayetteville, NC, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ABC11 Eyewitness News (www.abc11.com) has announced that the station will serve as a platinum sponsor for the annual Fayetteville Dogwood Festival. The festival will be held Friday, April 23 – Sunday, April 25 in Fayetteville, and will host a parade and concert headlined by musical acts Joe Nichols, Gin Blossoms and Soul Asylum. In 2000, after years of being a ten day event, The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival was transformed into a three-day street festival. The 2009 event brought 200,000 people to downtown Fayetteville over a three-day period.

- The festival will coincide with other local events, such as the Crimestoppers Barbeque, Hay Day for Missions-Christian Jazz Festival, YMCA Run for Your Hero, Adult Tennis Tournament, Dog Show, and the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival Pageant for girls ages seven to 22.
