Blinkers On Racing Stable Will Form Additional Thoroughbred Race Horse Partnerships in May

Alamo, CA, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Blinkers On Racing Stable will open two to three new thoroughbred race horse partnerships after purchases have been made at the upcoming 2-year old in training sale being held April 19 thru April 22 in Ocala Florida. The horses offered in the thoroughbred partnerships will be available to investors at prices ranging from $7,000 to $10,000 for a 5% share.

Blinkers On President, Scott Sherwood made the statement “We will continue the practice of buying horses that fall in the sweet spot of sale price in relationship to purse earnings.” Horses purchased during the April sale at a cost of $100,000 to $200,000 have average earnings on the racetrack of $164,859. Those earnings are higher than the earnings of every price category above or below. And of course, from an investment standpoint racetrack earnings do not include the residual value of the horse after their career in racing has ended.

Scott Sherwood and the thoroughbred buyer for Blinkers On, Greg Gilchrist will evaluate the prospects for the newly formed thoroughbred partnerships. As is their custom, they will watch endless video, studying how the horses move on the racetrack at the under tack show. Next, the ones with best strides will be put through a physical inspection. Horses considered for the racehorse partnership must be athletic, have excellent conformation, a good mind, proven pedigree and pass a vet exam.
