Visiting Physicians Association® Adds J. Richard Ludtke, M.D., to Office in Dayton, Ohio
Ludtke hired as the newest physician in VPA office that covers Montgomery, Preble, Darke, Greene, Shelby, Champaign and Clark Counties and parts of Butler and Warren Counties.
Dayton, OH, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Visiting Physicians Association® (“VPA®”) announced the addition of J. Richard (Rick) Ludtke, M.D. to its practice at 3033 Kettering Blvd., Suite 100, in Moraine, Ohio.
America’s leader in house call medicine and specialists in geriatric care, VPA is staffed by more than 145 highly-qualified physicians across more than 30 locations in eight states available to assist in the diagnosis and ongoing medical treatment of seniors. VPA also has offices in Michigan, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Wisconsin and Virginia. The Dayton office covers Montgomery, Preble, Darke, Greene, Shelby, Champaign and Clark Counties and parts of Butler and Warren Counties.
Ludtke, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, comes to VPA after serving as a physician (aerospace) and captain in the Michigan Air National Guard. His tenure also included responsibilities as medical technician/staff sergeant from 2000-2006.
During his time in the Air Force, Ludtke held staff sergeant positions as flight medic (1996-2000) and firefighter (1991-94 active, 1994-96 reserves). A highly-decorated solider, he earned metals in eight different categories, including the Joint Service Achievement Medal for his work with orphanages during deployment in the Honduras and a Humanitarian Service Medal as part of the Hurricane Andrew Recovery Team in Miami, Fla.
Outside the hospital, Ludtke has more than a decade of teaching experience. Most recently, he served as an adjunct faculty member and taught Anatomy and Physiology at both Lansing Community College and Washtenaw Community College in Michigan.
Ludtke earned his medical doctorate from Wayne State University in Detroit in 2006. He also graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, where he majored in Human Physiology.
