Dream. Inspire. Design. Fashion Show Features Student Talent
80 garments created by students will be on display
Schaumburg, IL, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The fifth annual IMAGINE fashion show presented by the students of the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) Schaumburg will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Meridian Banquets & Conference Center in Rolling Meadows. The portfolio show kicks off the evening at 5:30 p.m. with the fashion show following from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Special guest Derrick Aquis from Chicago’s Second City comedy club will serve as the event’s MC.
Created entirely by students and faculty, this year’s fashion show displays the depth and talent inside the walls of IADT Schaumburg – from graphic design to photography, set construction, lighting, fashion conception and clothing production. A true showcase of the senior’s portfolios and designs, the show features the garments of approximately 30 fashion design students. All students in the college have been invited to participate and will be models, stylists and dressers. The categories of design include everything from evening wear to couture bridal designs and sportswear.
“Each year our students dedicate themselves to bringing their education to life at the fashion show,” said Mark Holroyd, president, IADT Schaumburg. “They gain the experience of putting their designs on the runway and put on a real show for those attending.”
Tickets can be purchased at IADT Schaumburg or at the door. They are $20.00 for the public and $10.00 for student s with an I.D. The Meridian Banquets & Conference Center is located at 1701 Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows, Ill. For more information, please call (847) 969-2800.
