ElectraTherm announces John Fox has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. He joins ElectraTherm from United Technologies Corporation’s Pratt & Whitney Power Systems Division, where he was Director and General Manager of the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) Business.
Reno, NV, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ElectraTherm, Inc., announced today that John Fox has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Fox will lead the ElectraTherm team to extend its position at the forefront of heat-to-power systems in the distributed energy market.
Mr. Fox joins ElectraTherm from United Technologies Corporation’s Pratt & Whitney Power Systems Division, where he was Director and General Manager of the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) Business. Mr. Fox’s management of the PureCycle® program drove the ORC technology from the development phase through to successful commercialization.
“After more than five years leading UTC’s development and deployment of the PureCycle ORC power system, I’ve seen the incredible potential of distributed heat-to-power systems, particularly in the smaller system size that ElectraTherm has introduced,” said John Fox, ElectraTherm CEO. “I see great things ahead for the company, and I look forward to leading the charge.”
ElectraTherm’s Green Machines produce fuel-free, emissions-free power by capturing low-temperature waste heat. The company, established in 2005, employs a patented twin screw expander to produce reliable power with the fastest ROI in the industry.
Mr. Fox spent 19 years at United Technologies, with his early career focused on engineering and product development at Pratt & Whitney’s aircraft engine division. Since 2004, Mr. Fox managed the launch of the PureCycle and PureComfort® product lines for the renewable energy and on-site power generation markets. In 2008, Mr. Fox was promoted to Director & General Manager, responsible for all aspects of Organic Rankine Cycle Business and the PureCycle product line.
