Peacock Bar London Announces Cocktail Classes for Team Building, Office Parties and Corporate Events - "The Apprentice Version"
The Peacock is Battersea and Clapham Junction London's award winning 2am late night cocktail bar, restaurant & night club venue, but with a twist, combining burlesque and cabaret with retro 70s/80s/90's music later on to create unique nights. Peacock Bar’s mixologists have taken the standard cocktail class and incorporated burlesque, cabaret, theater and inter activity to make an entirely new kind of cocktail lesson all based around "The Apprentice TV" show.
London, United Kingdom, April 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Apprentice Version
The cocktail training is all based around the Apprentice TV show and is both fun and educational. The class works best if the delegates are not told the full details in advance of what will happen during the class. Below is the cast of characters and props
Teams: Two teams. Each need to be approximately the same size. The minimum team size is four and there is no maximum size although an additional trainer will be needed for teams with more than 10 contestant
Cocktail Trainers: Two or more depending on team size. The cocktail trainers are dressed in white tie /30s evening dress.
Head Cocktail Trainer. One who will be doing all the hiring and firing
Laminated Cards: You’re Fired cards with Sir Alan’s most withering and two You’re Hired cards one for each Team. Individual scoring cards from 0-5 with comments ranging from “More Team Fool than Leader” to “Sexy beast who makes a mean cocktail” with a lot in between.
Soundrack and Video clips: Various including introduction and Sir Alan’s most brutal firings and asides.
Other: Dunces hats and Winner hats.
However even for the winners there may be a further test Peacock Bar has up their sleeve. It is a nice touch by the way for the winners to be presented with a bottle of champagne (to share £40 /£20 cava).
Peacock Bar can customize each cocktail class to the customer's requirements too including adding additional soundtrack /bites (extra charge for this).
The basic 5 Cocktails Per Person two hour Lesson £30 per person
Lesson’s sound too much like hard work - not the way Peacock Bar does it. Peacock Bar’s classes are all about fun with a bit of competition thrown in too. Delegates are put behind the bar and are shown how to make drinks in a sexy sophisticated way with flair and panache. Delegates get to drink whatever they make too.
What cocktails? Well that is up to the delegates but at Peacock Bar find mojitos, caipirinha, long island iced teas, brambles, cosmopolitan's and sex on the beach are the most popular.
Peacock Bar’s staff will teach delegates juggling as well as various combination, techniques and tricks. In the corporate version Peacock Bar’ cocktail trainers will also continually score you on execution, style, presentation, up selling and dealing with a very awkward not to mention rude customer. Delegates can expect some very sarcastic comments such as “shake it not stroke it” or “your customer just died she was waiting so long for her drink.”
Peacock Bar’s staff and fellow delegate will score each delegate with special cards with comments ranging from "null points" to "great execution pity about the lack of flair" with a lot in between. At the end of the class the Head Cocktail Trainer will line up all the delegates and commence firing people till the two winners – one from each team – are hired at the end. All helped of course by video and sound clips from The Apprentice.
When, where and bookings?
Lessons are available on Saturdays from 1pm-8.00pm and Sunday -Friday 5pm-9.30pm. Allow lesson one hour 45 min for the class.
