The Van Burens Take the Stage at The Project Lodge in Madison, Wi, April 12

Madison, WI, April 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Van Burens band continues its national tour in support of its debut EP "The Eager EP", with a stop in Madison, Wisconsin, at The Project Lodge on Monday, April 12, at 7:30pm. The Project Lodge is an art gallery, music venue, and all-around creative space in Madison’s Tenney-Lapham neighborhood.

The band – named after the eighth and greatest President of the United States, Martin Van Buren – began when a high school band reformed post-college and began gigging at bars and house parties, boasting an eclectic catalog of original music and covers. Audiences went wild, and the Van Burens have been busy ever since.

Their truly unique debut "The Eager EP", released this past Fall and available on iTunes and CD Baby, reveals complex melodies and sophisticated transitions; just a taste of an exciting, diverse live show. This album includes their "Taft Punk", showcasing vocal harmonies (all five bandmates sing), mastery of their instruments, love of history, and wry sense of humor. A capacity crowd at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA, tour kick-off enjoyed danceable grooves, irresistible jams, and sweet vocals on original VB tunes and well-chosen covers.

The Van Burens have played such well-known stages as Sullivan Hall, Canal Room, and Bitter End in NYC; The Middle East, Johnny D’s, Baseball Tavern, and Copperfield’s in Boston; and various rooms throughout the greater Northeast. The VBs current national tour takes them through Brattleboro, VT, Chapel Hill, NC, Atlanta, St. Louis (The Wedge, April 7) and Iowa City (Yacht Club, April 9) before Wisconsin, then on to Denver, Santa Fe and California club dates before the band returns to New England.
