Website Offers Coupons for Shoppers to Redeem Online
DealShake.com is a website listing coupon codes to Internet retailers frequented by online shoppers.
Hilliard, OH, November 22, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Internet Shoppers can now pay less than the list price for their goods. DealShake.com is a free service available to online shoppers that will provide a coupon code, when available, to be used at the "checkout page" of an online retailers website.
The site currently indexes over 5,000 online merchants. There is no charge to use DealShake.com.
DealShake's operators keep the site updated with current coupons indicating the site(s) where the coupons can be used, the offer and expiration date.
When someone visits DealShake.com, he or she can choose to browse the index of merchants by name or category. The site will list currently available coupon codes for the selected merchant along with the expiration date and what discount the shopper can expect once the coupon code is applied.
The shopper can select the coupon he or she would like to use by clicking on it on the webpage. The shopper will then be taken to the merchant's website with the coupon code displayed at the top of the page. When the customer is ready to complete the purchase, he or she enters the code on the checkout page and the discount will be applied. Typical discounts available on DealShake are "10% off an order, 15% off an order of $50 or more, or Free Shipping on an order of $50 more," for example. Some merchants get more specific with their coupons, offering discounts in single items or free gifts with purchase.
DealShake receives these coupons from two main sources: The merchant itself and DealShake's uses. DealShake encourages its users to submit coupons when they come across them.
"In my past online shopping experience, I have come across an 'Enter Promotional Code Here' field quite often, but always felt that I had to be 'In the Loop' or part of some big corporate promotional team in order to have access to a discount. That is simply not the case," says DealShake.com founder Kenn Kerper. "These coupon codes are readily available for free, usually in an online store's newsletter or e-mail list. DealShake's purpose is to serve as a free directory of these codes to eliminate the need to subscribe to and sort through hundreds of email newsletters in order to find a coupon code to use."
Not all online merchants offer coupons, but DealShake indexes those sites regardless in order to inform consumers that no code currently exists. In addition to providing coupons for the popular internet retailers, DealShake also lists coupons for smaller lesser-known retailers that a shopper may not have discovered yet.
DealShake also offers RSS feeds for users who employ such technology. These feeds help keep the shopper up to date on coupon codes in real time as they are posted and expire without the need to actually visit the DealShake site itself.
