Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals Reports 93.2% Sales Growth
Vacation Rental Company experiences sales increases.
Vail, CO, April 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Nearing the end of the 2009-2010 ski season, Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals reported today a 93.2 percent increase in revenue between September 2009 and March 2010 in comparison to the same period between 2008 and 2009. Due to heavy late season snow reports, the company received an influx of last minute snow-seeking vacationers. Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals previously reported a 57 percent sales increase in March with the announcement of its new Group Sales Division.
Vacation rentals offer economical options for vacationers, especially families and large groups. “Travelers are discovering that they can have longer vacations for the same cost, simply by making one or two meals per day in the furnished kitchens provided,” stated the founder of Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals, Tommy Z. Hoffman. “We are seeing sales growth due to the combination of late season snow and because vacation rentals offer a better value for vacationers.”
The vacation rental provider will be expanding their operations to Steamboat Springs and Telluride for the 2010-2011 ski season, and then into additional markets in 2012. Currently Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals supplies vacation rentals located in Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain.
Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals also plans to expand into Utah ski markets, where industry trend reports a 143 percent increase in sales activity. The vacation rental market is an estimated $24.3 billion, or one-fifth of the United States lodging industry, according the PhoCusWright, Inc., a travel industry research firm. The market is “booming” according to the research firm due to the large supply of second homes, increased large family and group travel, as well as the added value vacation rentals provide.
