Xanthe Films to Broadcast Live Coverage of Belize Prime Minister’s Visit to Chicago
Xanthe TV to air live coverage of Hon. Dean Barrow and other Belizean dignitaries as they visit Chicago to headline a fundraising event.
Chicago, IL, April 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The President & CEO of Xanthe Films, Mr. Edwin Colon met recently with Mr. Linsford Pitts who is the President of Concerned Belizeans, Inc., a charitable foundation on Wednesday April 7th 2010 at Tickie’s Belizean Cuisine Restaurant in Chicago. The purpose of this brief meeting was to discuss the upcoming 4th annual fundraising event for Concerned Belizean’s school initiative.
Mr. Pitts and Mr. Colon discussed the opportunity to broadcast this historical event to be held during April 16th 2010 through April 18th 2010 to the rest of the world. Xanthe Films and its subsidiary channel Xanthe TV will provide live coverage of the fundraiser event and the Prime Minister’s visit for the entire three days while the Belizean dignitaries are in Chicago.
Prime Minister Barrow has been invited to be the key speaker at several events planned in regards to the visit. These events will take place on April 16 - 18, 2010.
The live coverage will be broadcasted through a webcast on Xanthe Films’ entire websites at http://www.xanthefilms.com, http://www.xanthetv.com, http://www.edwincolon.tk and also on Concerned Belizeans’ website at http://www.concernedbelizeans.org. This will allow viewers from all over the world to log on to any of these websites and watch the events on their computer or smart phones.
The coverage starts on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m., where there will be a Welcome Reception in honor of the Prime Minister and Mrs. Kim Simplis-Barrow. The reception will be held at the American Legion Hall in Morton Grove, Illinois. Prime Minister Barrow will be the Key Note Speaker. Present also will be the Ambassador of Belize Nestor Mendez, and Honorary Consul of Chicago Debbie Schell. Other dignitaries invited to attend include, Hon. Jesse White, Illinois Secretary of State, the Mayors of Chicago, Evanston, North Chicago, Morton Grove, Skokie, River Grove and Waukegan, as well as other Dignitaries.
On Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. until 2:30 a.m., Concerned Belizeans, Inc. is hosting its 3rd Annual Black Tie Fundraiser event at the Hanging Garden Banquet Hall in River Grove, Illinois where the organization will present their third annual recipients of the “Make A Difference Award.”
The Prime Minister and Mrs. Barrow will be the special guests, along with other local dignitaries. Other special guest include, direct from Belize Miss Leela Vernon, Queen of Kriol Brukdong music, along with Karl Watson and the New Dynamics Band from Chicago.
On Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., there will be a children’s concert and Public Forum at the Hanging Garden Banquet Hall in River Grove, Illinois. Xanthe TV will also broadcast this forum. According to the Concerned Belizeans organization the public forum will give the Prime Minister, the Ambassador of Belize and Honorary Consulate, the distinct privilege of addressing important issues such as, working together to enhance and empower the education of young Belizean children, and U. S. A. relations with Belize. A Q and A session will follow immediately after.
