IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador and Director of Its ME Office Honored with Most Influential Person of the Year

Doha, Qatar, April 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In scintillating addition to his previous accomplishments for his philanthropy works, Dr. Naseer Homoud, the Director of the regional office and Goodwill Ambassador of the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) was felicitated by Akhbarna- a leading electronic news channel as the Most Influential Person of the Year-2009 in Amman, Jordan under high patronage of H.E Faisal Al Fayez, Former Prime Minister of Jordan on April 9, 2010.

A champion of social works, Dr. Naseer Homoud is an eminent and well known personality of the Jordan being known across the world for his humanitarian and social activities. Known for his philanthropist activities Dr. Homoud has achieved several accomplishments in his life in acknowledgment of his work. The sincere and honest efforts of Dr. Homoud are widely acclaimed in region and Jordan in particular. His work for women empowerment, against racial discrimination, elimination of poverty and for securing basic amenities for hunger and undernourished people are exemplary in itself.

He was honored at Royal Culture Centre, Amman by His Excellency Faisal Al- Fayez, the Former Prime Minister of Jordan, for acclamation of his humanitarian work especially for malnourished children and his noble works for humanity. Dr. Homoud is a well known philanthropist and is widely acclaimed for his sincere and honest efforts for humanity. In a ceremony at Royal Culture Centre, Amman, Yazan Kawas hosting the event said “in making our choice, we fully realized that our focus is on humanity and of course there were many contenders, But then, we reckoned that Dr. Homoud represents the work and profile which needs dire attention, from all corners of society. “We were simply impressed by the approaches of Dr. Homoud towards well planned philanthropy activities and practical implementations thereto and he was the best choice available for us.” Yazan further added "Dr. Homoud is a true social leader and worker and he has demonstrated, time and time again, his tireless and energized support and leadership on issues that matter to every person on this earth who dreams of an egalitarian society and in our opinion he fits in a new role of inspiration and role model for Arab youths.”

Expressing his gratitude for choosing him for this award Dr. Homoud reaffirmed his commitment to work for humanity, he added “I enjoy the moment with all happiness from core of my heart when I see a smile on face of even one child; I don’t know why it is, but that smile is really a catalyst for me and it gives me more energy to work for them.” Reacting to the award he said “I do not view it as recognition of my personal accomplishments but rather an affirmation of the work which we are doing for ultimate benefit of mankind. “This award is not simply about my work rather it is to be shared with everyone who strives for an egalitarian society.”

The ceremony was attended by several prominent peoples including several Minster, top officials and renowned signers of Jordan.
