Assassination City Roller Derby Announces Its Second Home Bout - Search and Destroy
Assassination City Roller Derby continues its Cold War Era blitz with Search and Destroy - the league's second home bout of the season.
Dallas, TX, April 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Assassination City Roller Derby is on a mission to search and destroy with its April 17th deadly double-header. The opening event features predators on the prowl with the 2nd Annual Cougars vs. Kittens mash-up. This fan favorite pits the league’s age 30 and up skaters against those younger than 30. The main event showcases Assassination City’s all-star team, Special Ops, ready to settle a score against Memphis Roller Derby. BYOB (no glass), bring your camp chairs and prepare for a massive take down.
The halftime show will feature live music by RTB2 and DJ Sista Whitenoise will be spinning tunes. The league has also partnered with Sony for a special bout event celebrating the legacy of Iggy and the Stooges with cool giveaways and the chance to win Sony’s deluxe reissue of Iggy and the Stooges’ Raw Power. And don’t forget the world-famous Assassination City Roller Derby after party immediately following the bout, only at Lee Harvey’s (1807 Gould Street, Dallas, 75215).
Tickets to the bout (and season passes) can be purchased in advance for $12 at Pluckers on Greenville and Lovers, HD Tavern in Lewisville, Dad’s Broadway Skateland, or at www.acderby.com, or you can get your tickets at the door for $15. Kids 10 and under get in free. A portion of all proceeds go to benefit www.nationalcasa.org. Doors open at 7pm at Dad’s Broadway Skateland, 3022 Moon Drive, Mesquite, TX 75150.
