UDEC & the EnviroMedia Mobile Ceremonial Launch of the Giant Floating Earth Ball at IKEA/Erie Basin Park, in Red Hook, Brooklyn on Sunday, April 25th, 2010.
Brooklyn, NY, April 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Urban Divers Estuary Conservancy (UDEC) and its EnviroMedia Mobile is holding its Ceremonial Launch of the Giant Floating Earth Ball at the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day Celebrations, being held at IKEA/Erie Basin Park on Sunday, April 25th, 2010 at 1 PM. This event is the kick-off to the exciting Spring/Summer Fest.
The Giant Earth Ball’s Launch into orbit, signifies a 100% commitment to the mitigation of impacts on Climate Change, Ocean Acidification, and Fostering a New Green Generation in Brooklyn. In addition to the launch, UDEC offers a wonderful, Free, fun- filled family day in environmental literacy and maritime cultural enrichment. Offerings include: Public tours of the EnviroMedia Mobile (EMM)- the traveling Nature and Maritime Museum on wheels, Catch and Release Fishing, Live Underwater Video Exploration, Live Music- "Open Piano on the Soap Box" with guest Lyrical Vocalist/Poet DuEwa Frazier, Refreshments, Opening of the 10th Annual Submerge- Art & Environment Festival exhibition - Featuring the work of world renown underwater photographer Becky Kagan and others, Recycling - Electronic-waste (carry by hand items only) and Old Sneakers, and more.
