Trespasser Caught by Expert Sonitrol Pacific Operator, Integrated Security
Mount Vernon, WA, April 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Police picked up a suspected trespasser seeking shelter inside a Washington distributor’s loading dock when a Sonitrol Pacific operator correctly assessed a security system activation April 10.
Operator Bricia Mejia received an activation from a loading dock at Dairy Valley Distributing around 7:30 on a Saturday night. Due to her familiarity with this facility and her monitoring expertise, Mejia called police to investigate.
Police responded quickly and found a suspected homeless person “looking for a place to sleep.”
Sonitrol Pacific's commitment to audio-based security systems allows their operators to verify alarm activations. Their operators are able to give police more complete information about what is happening when a Sonitrol Pacific security system activates. Since 1978, police in Washington, Oregon and Idaho have caught more than 5,200 suspects due to a Sonitrol Pacific activation and dispatch.
