From the Concert Halls of Europe to the Backstreet Bars of London - The Lost Society
Smoking Barrel Recordings is launching it's first ever release by the London based Band "The Lost Society." Their debut EP "The Loneliness of The Long Distance Runner" is set for online release on April 20th 2010.
London, United Kingdom, April 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Lost Society is a London based alternative band fronted by itinerant performer and musician Joseph James, son of a composer and an opera singer.
James left a touring orchestra aged 20 to study Flamenco in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Southern Spain, returning to London four years later to work as a guitar and piano for hire. It was on this route that he met fellow musical cohort Ben Hillyard. The two have stuck together despite the break up of their previous band two years ago.
The new act also features Greg Rawson on drums, Harriet Wheeler on violin and Pete Lutkoski on keyboards. Together they produce a blend of Americana with a pinch of Vaudeville thrown in.
Their EP will be available on itunes, Amazon, 7digital and other major online shops from April 20th 2010.
