Austin Art Space Artist Valerie Walden Joins Prestigious Art City Austin Celebration Along Lady Bird Lake April 24-25, 2010
Austin, TX, April 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Valerie Walden has been chosen to participate in the prestigious Art City Austin event April 24-25, 2010 produced by the Austin Art Alliance. The outdoor event is part of a week-long celebration of the arts in Austin. Over 190 artists from around the U.S. were selected by a panel of jurors to come to Austin. These accomplished independent and emerging artists present rousing art for every budget and taste.
Ms. Walden said, “It’s an honor and a thrill to be included in the event. I have the opportunity to expose my work to wide audience and I have some brand new work to show.” Ms. Walden will be set up in Booth #428. She will have on display a wide range of work in oil and in pastel of various sizes.
The immensely popular festival is expected to draw more than 20,000 patrons. Spread along First Street and onto the bridge over Lady Bird Lake, it features live music, food, and hundreds of 2-D and 3-D works of art. The urban, green, civic and cultural environments intersect for this two-day, community-wide art celebration.
Ms. Walden will be on hand to discuss her work during regular event hours: Saturday, 10am to 6pm and Sunday, 11am to 6pm. Tickets to the event are available online or at the entrances.
