Brisbane Holiday Village Achieves the First AAA Tourism 5-Star Cabin Accommodation Rating in Queensland, Australia
Family owned and operated Brisbane Holiday Village, located at Eight Mile Plains (12 minutes south of Brisbane City), is setting the benchmark for holiday cabin accommodation in Queensland after achieving the first 5-Star AAA Tourism rating in the state.
Brisbane, Australia, April 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- AAA Tourism undertook its annual Star Rating inspection of Brisbane Holiday Village last Friday (9 April 2010) and awarded the Village a 5-Star rating for its new Vogue Cabins, under the Australian Tourist/Caravan Park STAR Rating Scheme.
With this recognition, Brisbane Holiday Village is now one of only two Tourist/Holiday Parks in Australia to have achieved the highest rating for cabin accommodation.
The rating scheme takes into consideration a variety of aspects in order to determine the star value. 5-Star self-contained accommodation is assessed on bathroom facilities, which should including ensuite to master bedroom and a comprehensive range of toiletries, quality and supply of linen and the presence of luxury appointments such as a dishwasher, heating and cooling, Video/DVD and a sound system. In addition, the accommodation has to be in immaculate condition with stylish décor, up-to-date maintenance and both interior and exterior cleanliness should be of the highest standard.
Brisbane Holiday Village’s luxurious Vogue Cabins consist of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, quality linen and furnishings, full kitchen facilities, lounge and dining settings, plasma televisions in both bedrooms and living area, private barbeque area with outside seating arrangements and undercover carport.
The Village’s additional three holiday cabin styles, branded the Cosmo Cabin, Alfresco Cabin and Metro Cabin, along with the two-bedroom Semi Permanent Cabins also rated high in the Scheme. The Cosmo Cabin scored an impressive 4.5 Star, where the Alfresco, Metro and Semi Permanent Cabins all scored a 4 Star rating.
An overall 4.5 Star rating was awarded to the property, confirming Brisbane Holiday Village’s well-appointed accommodation throughout and its exceptional standard of facilities and guest services.
Ken Illich, Development Manager of Brisbane Holiday Village, said, “Year in and year out we work hard and smart to keep ahead of our competitors and with this recognition we are proving to be doing just that. The accommodation and facilities we have on offer at Brisbane Holiday Village are more of what you would expect from a resort than a tourist park. Most of our facilities feature Ancient Inca theming, unlike any other caravan park in Australia. These include the Lagoon of the Sun swimming lagoon and kids’ lagoon, The Inca Trail 18-hole putt putt course, Temple of the Terrors childrens’ playground and Court of the Warriors full size tennis court.”
Other facilities on offer at Brisbane Holiday Village include: an all-new, 7-day Reception with welcome lounge; undercover barbeque areas; toddler playground; recently renovated café and convenience store; ladies’ and gents’ amenities; and guest laundry facilities.
Caravan and camping sites are also on offer at Brisbane Holiday Village, including unpowered camping grounds, powered sites and powered sites with an ensuite.
In addition to the accommodation and property ratings, Brisbane Holiday Village received an Eco-Friendly Star, rewarding its commitment and care for the environment. Assessed on energy efficiency, waste minimisation and management, water minimisation and guest education, Brisbane Holiday Village adopts state-of-the-art water and energy saving systems and is proud to be considered an Eco-Friendly Australian caravan park.
The Village is located at 10 Holmead Road, Eight Mile Plains, a 12-minute drive south of Brisbane City. Brisbane Holiday Village is also central to hospitals, Griffith University (Mount Gravatt campus), schools, Garden City Shopping Centre, public transport and sporting venues.
Brisbane Holiday Village is an active Member Park of Top Tourist Parks of Australia.
