AerHub.com Acquires PilotSpeak.net and Grows Its User Base and Management Team
AerHub.com was created in February 2009 as an online social network that appealed to aviation professionals looking for a community all their own. Offering features such as creating a profile, establishing friends, viewing and posting jobs, browsing airline news, and even tracking live flights, the website has found much success and has fostered a large community.
East Hartford, CT, April 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In the past couple of months AerHub has been exploring possibilities of expansion and was in talks with various other aviation social networking sites. After evaluating the opportunities each site could offer AerHub users, management strategically selected PilotSpeak.net as an acquisition. PilotSpeak.net is a social aviation site leaning more toward pilots, but striving to include everyone in the aviation community. In operation since 2007, PilotSpeak was able to build a large social community base by providing users a voice: with the ability to rate and review hotels and destinations as well as have full reign to discuss popular topics in the forum, PilotSpeak found success amongst free spirited pilots. Wilkinson Egwu, founder of AerHub.com, revealed that he is "happy about the merger because it will provide additional users to our community and further expand the site as a one stop shop for anything aviation.
