Outskirts Press Announces Sean Noonan’s New Juvenile Fiction, Of Lights in the Night: Friends and Adventures
Denver, CO, April 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sean Noonan’s new juvenile fiction, Of Lights in the Night: Friends and Adventures, introduces us to a fantasy world ‘just beyond the half-sleep’ and takes its young readers on a magical journey to the Great Northern Mountains where they first meet the Great Wizard Grumphspawn and his fabulous fireworks displays (published by Outskirts Press).
Of Lights in the Night: Friends and Adventure is the first book in Sean Noonan’s collection of stories “The Everlasting and Fantastical Adventures of Elannah and Sam”. Written for children from three to ninety-three this book introduces us to a host of extraordinary characters from 'Rodger the Badger' to 'Grumphspawn the Great Wizard'.
This story is about the author’s own children, and the adventures they have in the land of their dreams, where anything is possible. The Great Wizard Grumphspawn presents his audience with an extravagant spectacle of fireworks, starting with the “Jolly Jester”, quickly moving onto the “Parrots, Pirates and Pancakes Piratical Pyrotechnics” display and finally the finale of the “Troll’s Totally Titanic Terribly Triumphant Toothy Tongue Tingler”. There are seven displays in total providing all with a delicious and delightful night of celestial lights, laughter, music and magic.
In the land of dreams there are no limits to the sensations that can be created to entertain.
The author is a colorful character himself, having spent twenty years at sea on his own adventures; that included dodging pirates and running dangerous cargo through war zones. Amongst the youngest Merchant Navy Captains commissioned, Sean finally hung up his epaulettes and, as the saying goes, “swallowed the anchor” to embark on a new adventure of being a land-locked author of fantasy books for children.
Readers of “Of Lights in the Night: Friends and Adventure” will be very glad he did.
