IES Makes Strategic Announcement in Toronto
Midland Park, NJ, April 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- New Jersey-based transportation software provider, IES, Ltd., made a strategic announcement at I.E. Canada’s Annual Conference entitled “Emerging Issues in Customs and Trade Compliance”.
Kevin Gavin, IES’s Vice President of Supply Chain Management, announced IES’s Canadian Truck eManifest product. The web-based application will allow customers to comply with the closely-watched Canadian Highway ACI program.
Canadian Highway ACI is the electronic data reporting of truck, trailer, commodity and crew information one hour prior to arrival at the border. Highway ACI will enable the secure flow of trucks, trailers, people and goods.
At the event, Mr. Gavin presented material during the 4pm session titled, “Software Tools to Minimize Supply Chain Costs and Minimize Trade Compliance Risks”. The session was also supplemented by an exhibit.
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is scheduled to implement TRANSPONDERS for trucks in-line with US transponders. As a result, border-crossing into Canada would be greatly expedited. Similar to the US Truck ACE system, Canadian Highway ACI will report to Canada’s TITAN System to perform risk analysis. The data elements required by Canada for the Canadian Highway ACI program are very similar to the data requirements currently required for US Truck ACE.
